Did you know that 11 February is the International Day for Women and Girls in Science? On this day in 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution to ensure equal participation of women in science and to increase women's involvement in scientific activities.

According to Eurostat, there were almost 6.6 million female scientists and engineers working in the EU in 2020 - 254,500 more than in 2019. We can only be proud that Lithuania continues to lead the EU in the number of women working in science and technology with 63.7%. Latvia is in second place (62.9%), followed by North-Eastern Bulgaria (60.4%), the Azores (59.6%) and Estonia (59.5%)).

We are delighted that our long-standing partners PwC Lithuania are launching PwC Solvers one-off scholarships for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Vilnius University! The scholarship aims to motivate and encourage the most advanced undergraduate students active in social and scientific activities.

The amount of the one-time scholarship is 1000 EUR.

This spring, the scholarship will be awarded to a total of 2 students studying in the 6th semester of the Accounting and Audit study program.
