“Mano bankas” specialized training for senior bank managers
Specialized training for senior management was conducted twice.
The first covered the following topics: bank management, finance ethics, the main aspects of banking sector monitoring, banking sector services, banking sector performance evaluation, bank risks and their management, internal audit committee and its functions.
The second training covered the following topics: banking supervision and regulation, risk management, compliance risk and its management, liquidity risk and its management, operational risk and its management, money laundering and terrorist financing risk and its management, market risk and its management.
The training was conducted by associate professor of the Department of Finance, dr. Deimantė Teresienė.
“Mano bankas” training for loan specialists
Loan specialists’ qualification training. Training topics included: introduction to financial analysis, financial reporting analytics and prognosis, capital cost calculation, the evaluation of discounted cash flows.
The training was led by a professor of the Department of Finance dr. Arvydas Paškevičius.
BitDegree
Online learning start-up “BitDegree“, together with the researchers of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Vilnius University, conduct a project that aims at exploring how the integration of game design elements in the study process can contribute to the increase of online course completion average scores, and attract more people to the online learning platforms. The research is led by a professor of the Faculty of Economics and Bussiness Administration prof. dr. Vytautas Dikčius. The project is funded by the European Union for the period 2014-2020, by more than 800.000 Eur.
Research for Lithuanian Lottery Association
Assoc. prof. dr. Egidijus Bikas and assoc. prof. dr. Erstida Ulvidienė participated in the research for the Lithuanian Lottery Association that aims at examining whether the lottery and gambling regulation in Lithuania ensures the balance of the protection of stakeholders‘ – government, society, and business – interests and rights. The research analyzed the current situation and modeled tax rates for regulating the lottery and gambling market.
Research for the Lithuanian Business Confederation
Assoc. prof. dr. Algirdas Bartkus and assoc. prof. dr. Vita Karpuškienė conducted a research study for the Lithuanian Business Confederation to analyze the alcohol consumption environment and habits in Lithuania. The study included a detailed analysis of alcohol consumption habits, environment, and volumes in different groups of consumers, an examination of the behavior and lifestyle of drunkards, an assessment of the impact of alcohol consumption control measures in Lithuania on different population groups, and information on the general situation of alcohol consumption in Lithuania.
Specialized economics training for the Communications Regulatory Authority
Specialized training in economics covering the following topics: basics of financial accounting, basics of financial analysis, marginal profit and its significance in making management decisions, market structures.
The training was conducted by assoc. prof. dr. Erstida Ulvidienė, assoc. prof. dr. Ramunė Budrionytė, assoc. prof. dr. Kastytis Senkus and assoc. prof. dr. Daiva Tamulevičienė.
