The Electoral Commission of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FEBA Electoral Commission) informs that the elections to the Council of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Vilnius University (FEBA Council) have started.
These elections are organised in accordance with the Procedures for the Election of Councils in Stem Academic Units of Vilnius University; the VU FEBA Statute, the VU Central Electoral Commission, and the VU FEBA Council Resolution No. on Quotas for Internal Units of VU FEBA (resolution approved on 2025-02-11).
Sixteen candidates will be elected as members of the FEBA Council for a four-year term, including:
- eight FEBA Council members, elected from nominated candidates, who are professors and/or senior researchers working at VU FEBA;
- six FEBA Council members, elected from nominated candidates who are associate professors and/or senior researchers at the FEBA;
- two members of the FEBA Council, elected from nominated candidates - other members of the academic and/or non-academic community working at the VU FEBA.
The election quotas are as follows: one representative from each department, from the Centre of Economic Expertise and from the administration, and the remaining positions on the Council are based on the number of points received.
The FEBA Electoral Commission shall set the following dates, deadlines, venue and conditions for the elections:
- The FEBA Council elections will take place on 25 March 2025 (early voting on 24 March 2025);
- The nominations will be open from 12th of February 2025 to the 14th of March 2025;
- To apply, please send a written proposal or request for nomination (and agreement to become a candidate) to the FEBA Electoral Commission at: . The receipt of the proposal or request shall be deemed to be registered when the proposer or applicant receives confirmation by email or in Avilys;
- From the 18th of March 2025, the lists of candidates will be published on the FEBA website;
- Early voting and voting on election day will take place in VU FEBA room 417, according to detailed procedures (to be announced before the elections).
The list of eligible voters at FEBA has been prepared in accordance with Article 12(4) of the Statute of Vilnius University.
