Programme:
14.00 -14.45 Principles of public finance in the context of the Lithuanian tax system. World Bank economists will present their analysis of Lithuania's tax system and their recommendations for tax reform. They will present an analysis of several possible reform scenarios based on the results of a microsimulation of administrative data. The simulation tool developed by the World Bank to assess possible reform scenarios for the Lithuanian tax system will also be presented.
14.45-15.00 Coffee break
15.00-15.45 Research on the Lithuanian tax system using administrative data. The researchers will present the World Bank's research using administrative data on personal income tax and corporate income tax in Lithuania. It will also discuss possible topics for future joint research in the area of Lithuanian public finance.
